đź“–Sunday Recap
Series Title: Mission In Motion: How We Go
This past Sunday, our sermon was titled “Start Where You Are” from Acts 1:1-11.
Evangelism isn’t just about sharing facts about Jesus, it’s about inviting others into the life He offers. In Acts 1:1–11, we saw that this mission starts right where you are. You don’t need to wait for the perfect moment or have all the right words. God can use you, right where you’re planted.
We were reminded that Jesus sent ordinary people filled with the Holy Spirit to share the good news. Just like the first believers, we are called to begin in our “Jerusalem”—our homes, communities, and everyday places. Evangelism starts with one act of faithfulness, like the first domino in a chain reaction.
Three takeaways from the text:
- Start where you are.
- Trust the power of the Holy Spirit.
- Live on mission, not in waiting mode.
The mission isn’t for “someday”—it’s for today. Let’s be faithful witnesses, right where we are.
👉 Looking Ahead:
This Sunday, we’ll continue our “Mission in Motion” series by looking at Acts 2:1–13. The Holy Spirit is not a backup plan or a distant force, He is God with us. In Acts 2, we see the Spirit come in power, equipping everyday people to speak with boldness and clarity. This week, we’ll explore how the same Spirit is still at work.

Sunday Night Services – Beginning this Sunday 6pm
This summer at FCC, Sunday nights at 6pm are all about Ekklesia: Being the Church Together. From May through August, we’ll gather each week to grow in our understanding of what it means to be the church. Each month will include a rhythm of teaching nights, fellowship nights, and service nights giving us space to learn, connect, and live out our faith. Some weeks kids will join us for the whole evening; other weeks, they’ll have their own space to play and engage. Even if your summer schedule is busy, we encourage you to come, every night will matter, and every person makes a difference.

đź“– Toddler Class Help
Our current toddler class (ages 1–5) has grown too large! We’re starting a new class just for our littlest ones—ages 1 to 3 and not yet potty trained, and we need your help. We’re looking for adults to serve once every 8 weeks from 9:20–11am, with a teen helper alongside you. It’s mostly play-based, with optional simple activities provided. This is a low-commitment but high-impact way to love our little ones and support young families in the church. Let us know if you’re willing to serve! If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Ryan Scott.
See you Sunday!
