đź“–Sunday Recap

Series Title: Mission In Motion: How We Go

This past Sunday, our sermon was titled  “Trust The Power” from Acts 2.

This week’s sermon took us to Acts 2, where the Church was born through the arrival of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. Like the joy and anticipation of a hospital delivery room, this moment was full of life and power. As the Spirit came with wind, fire, and supernatural speech, 3,000 people were spiritually reborn. Rather than focus on the numbers, the message highlighted the source behind it all—the promised Holy Spirit, who is still active in us today.

The sermon reminded us that the Holy Spirit is not a mysterious force, but a person, part of the Trinity, with a mind, will, emotions, and actions. He convicts hearts, empowers believers, forms the Church, and transforms lives from the inside out. The challenge for us today isn’t whether we have access to the Spirit’s power, but whether we truly trust and walk in it. If the Spirit lives in us, we should live boldly, pray fervently, and love sacrificially. It’s time to stop waiting and start trusting. The Church was born in power, let’s continue in that same Spirit.

👉 Looking Ahead:
This Sunday, we’ll continue our “Mission in Motion” series by looking at Acts 2:42-47 with a sermon titled “Live the Gospel.” After the Spirit’s arrival, we see how the early believers lived out their faith in real, daily ways—through teaching, fellowship, prayer, and radical generosity. We’ll explore what it means to not just believe the gospel, but to live it together as the Church today.

Sunday Night Services – 6pm

This summer at FCC, Sunday nights at 6pm are all about Ekklesia: Being the Church Together. From May through August, we’ll gather each week to grow in our understanding of what it means to be the church. Each month will include a rhythm of teaching nights, fellowship nights, and service nights giving us space to learn, connect, and live out our faith. Some weeks kids will join us for the whole evening; other weeks, they’ll have their own space to play and engage. Even if your summer schedule is busy, we encourage you to come, every night will matter, and every person makes a difference.

Looking for ways to get involved

đź“– Toddler Class Help
Our current toddler class (ages 1–5) has grown too large! We’re starting a new class just for our littlest ones—ages 1 to 3 and not yet potty trained, and we need your help. We’re looking for adults to serve once every 8 weeks from 9:20–11am, with a teen helper alongside you. It’s mostly play-based, with optional simple activities provided. This is a low-commitment but high-impact way to love our little ones and support young families in the church. Let us know if you’re willing to serve! If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Ryan Scott.

See you Sunday!
