đź“–Sunday Recap
Series Title: Mission In Motion: How We Go
This past Sunday, our sermon was titled “What Is Evangelism” from Acts 5.
Evangelism isn’t just about sharing facts about Jesus, it’s about inviting others into the life He offers. Jesus has entrusted His followers with the mission of proclaiming the gospel. That includes all of us as believers in Christ.
In Acts 5, the early church models what it truly takes to be a witness for Christ. Evangelism is not just a program; it’s a way of life shaped by five essential traits: Purity, Power, Persecution, Persistence, and Providence. The church must first be pure, living changed lives that reflect the message we preach. Then, it moves with power, Spirit-filled boldness and gospel truth. Persecution will come, because the light always exposes darkness, but we’re called to persist, to obey God. And through it all, we trust in God’s providence, knowing He is working to build His church.
Evangelism isn’t always easy, but it is essential. Let’s be a church marked by lives transformed by grace, bold in witness, and faithful to the mission Jesus has given us.
👉 Looking Ahead:
This Sunday, we’ll continue our “Mission in Motion” series by looking at Acts 1:6–11. Before Jesus sent His followers to the ends of the earth, He told them to start in Jerusalem, right where they were. Our mission works the same way. We’ll explore how evangelism begins not somewhere far away, but with the people God has already placed around us.

Sunday Night Services – Beginning May 18 @6pm
This summer at FCC, Sunday nights at 6pm are all about Ekklesia: Being the Church Together. From May through August, we’ll gather each week to grow in our understanding of what it means to be the church. Each month will include a rhythm of teaching nights, fellowship nights, and service nights giving us space to learn, connect, and live out our faith. Some weeks kids will join us for the whole evening; other weeks, they’ll have their own space to play and engage. Even if your summer schedule is busy, we encourage you to come, every night will matter, and every person makes a difference.

đź“– Toddler Class Help
Our current toddler class (ages 1–5) has grown too large! We’re starting a new class just for our littlest ones—ages 1 to 3 and not yet potty trained, and we need your help. We’re looking for adults to serve once every 8 weeks from 9:20–11am, with a teen helper alongside you. It’s mostly play-based, with optional simple activities provided. This is a low-commitment but high-impact way to love our little ones and support young families in the church. Let us know if you’re willing to serve! If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Ryan Scott.
See you Sunday!
