๐Ÿ“–Sunday Recap

This past Sunday we answered the question โ€œWhy worship?โ€. We explored three truths from Revelation 4โ€“5:

  • God deserves our worship
  • God designed us to worship
  • Worship will never end.

Worship is not about us, our preferences, emotions, or routines, but about responding to who God is and what He has done. Revelation gives us a glimpse into heavenโ€™s throne room, where unceasing worship flows to God. Worship is not based on mood or convenience; it is rooted in God’s unmatched worth, His creative power, and His redemptive work through Christ. We worship not to “get something out of it” but because God alone is worthy of glory, honor, and power.

The application is clear and convicting: we must examine what or whom we are truly worshiping. Every person is a worshiper, but not everyone is worshiping the right thing. Sin pulls our hearts toward lesser objects of devotion, but Jesus re-centers us. Worship should not be limited to Sundays or songs; it must become the rhythm of our lives, a daily posture of surrender and adoration. So, the challenge is to stop treating worship like a habit or a warm-up. Instead, embrace it as our eternal purpose. Ask yourself: Is my worship shaped by the truth of who God is? Is it consistent beyond Sunday? Let your worship become not just an act, but your identity, something you live out in every moment, now and forever.

Looking for ways to get involved:

Rooted After School Program
Rooted is right around the corner. There are many ways to help – school pick up, playground supervisor, homework assistant, activity leader, and more! Volunteers can assist weekly, monthly, or on an as-needed basis. We also need help providing snacks for our Rooted students. To volunteer at Rooted or provide snacks, please send Ms. Ryan a message or sign up at the sign-up station in the church lobby.

Supply Help
It is time to restock our ministry supplies for Sunday School, Rooted, and Thrive. We would love your help. Having these supplies on hand makes it easier for our leaders to gather their supplies and spend time focusing on sharing the love of Christ.ย Visit the link below to see what we need!
